2013 in Review

Very much behind on posting this, but 2013 was a busy year. Since I absolutely fail at keeping this blog up-to-date with my going-ons (which would be overkill actually, with all my other social media documenting, haha), I included links to other social media posts about some of the things I mention. I love being able to go back and see evidence of my year in my various social media outlets – and I hope you enjoy this snapshot as well.

Bring it on, 2014!

January – Gave in and joined Netflix – productivity took a nosedive!; In DC for President Obama’s 2nd Inauguration

February – Lindsay Stirling in concert at the 9:30 Club; discovered Downton Abbey; Co-hosted a Pre-Oscar Oscar Party;
MarchFirst Snow Day ever!; Demetri Martin show; MegaCon 2013 [cosplayed as Lana from Archer]; volunteered as a referee at the FIRST Robotics DC Regional

April – Experienced the amazingness that is the DC cherry blossoms for the first time; Heroes v Villians 5K; Finalist at the LivingSocial Adult Spelling Bee; Psychology Department Field Day; had my first ever ballet performance (tiny, irrelevant, still fun!);

Master’s graduation; Memorial Day Show with the US Marine Corps Band at Wolf Trap Park; Nationals v Orioles baseball game; Experienced some fabulous street musicians

– Found out my team won the 2013 FAA Design Competition in the “Innovative Application of FAA Data” category

Video Games Live by the National Symphony Orchestra at Wolf Trap Park; HCII 2013 conference in Las Vegas

– Jazz in the Garden; Became president of the GMU HFES Student Group; John Mayer in concert at Jiffy Lube Live

– Dianna’s bachelorette weekend in the mountains!; Attended Suzanne Farrell Ballet master class at the Kennedy Center; HFES 2013 Conference in San Diego;

– Eric & Dianna’s gorgeous wedding in Raleigh, NC; LivingSocial’s Seven Deadly Sins Halloween Party; Giselle Ballet at the Kennedy Center

– Sleeping Beauty Ballet at the Kennedy Center; Weekend New York trip!; Friendsgiving!; La Sylphide Ballet at GMU Arts Center;  Nutcracker at the Kennedy Center

– White Elephant Party; Siblings New Year’s Eve trip to New York

–Attended 2 conferences, 1 con (MegaCon)
–Saw 3 ballets, 2 concerts
